cargo.one acquired Portuguese ocean-rate software business Cargofive to bring ocean and air freight data into its logistics platform.
The transaction
The buyer expressly dates closing to 25 February. Its release, datelined 2 March, connects the acquisition with a multimodal logistics software launch.
The same release reports approximately US$20m of financing for cargo.one from investors including Bessemer Venture Partners. This is separate buyer financing, not the Cargofive purchase price.
