Grupo Sousa notified a combined acquisition of sole control over Alcotrans and FJRL on 6 August. AdC issued a non-opposition decision on 9 September; the decision does not establish a subsequent ownership transfer.
The transaction
Alcotrans provides freight-forwarding services across sea, land and air routes, including Madeira and the Azores. Grupo Sousa already operates across maritime transport, port services, logistics and energy.
The formal public decision identifies FJRL as the owner of a property leased to Alcotrans. The transaction therefore combines two closely connected businesses in a single control acquisition.
