Westlake announced the completed acquisition of ACI / Perplastic's global compounding businesses, headquartered in Portugal and primarily serving wire and cable markets.
The transaction
The buyer said the acquisition extends its manufacturing presence into Portugal, Romania and Tunisia and adds to its operations in Mexico.
Westlake framed the transaction as a way to add specialty products and technology to its compounds portfolio. The release does not disclose the acquisition consideration or a separate legal closing date.
